State of CT SNAP Food Program

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • No interview required. Approx $200 per family member each month

  • Max gross income of $3,970 for family of 4 to be eligible

    • Open M: 1-2:30pm and F: 10-11:30am. Can access one bag of groceries at food pantry once per month

  • ARC Food Pantry

    • Comida Program distributes non-perishable goods to those in need on the second and fourth Fridays of the month

  • Salvation Army Danbury

    • Every SA food pantry will be open M, W, F from 9am – 12Noon

    • Those is need of food should call for an appointment in an attempt to keep lines and crowds down.

    • The food pantry is open W: 10am-11:15am, 1pm-3:15pm.

    • Free bread is provided on Wed beginning at 11am.

    • Food pantry serves anyone in need, Fridays @ 2-3:30pm

  • Mobile Food Pantry

    • Provides outdoor food distribution for low income families and individuals on second Wednesday of the month, 9:30am.

    • Food items are mostly fresh produce and bread. Food pantry is sponsored by Connecticut Food Bank and New Hope Baptist Church.

  • CAAWC Food Pantry

    • Emergency food for residents of Bethel, Bridgewater, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding and Ridgefield who are in need.

    • The food pantry is located in the basement at the New Hope Baptist Church, 10 Dr. Aaron B. Samuels Boulevard, Danbury. Hours: Th: 1-4pm.

    • Registration is at 66 North Street, Danbury or at church.
